Dunkerton Sportsman's Club​

 

We are a member's only club for those that enjoy shooting, camping, fishing, and other outdoor activities.  The club house and grounds are located 3 miles Northeast of Dunkerton on a private 2.5 acre lot, surrounded by public woodland that is managed by the Black Hawk County Conservation Board.  The Dunkerton Sportsman's Club holds a meeting once a month at our meeting hall; we welcome all those who want to learn more to attend a meeting.

 

The Dunkerton Sportsman's Club grounds contains several amenities, which includes a 32' x 40' meeting hall complete with bathrooms and a kitchen, which members can rent for private events.  Other accommodations include a built in fire pit, a children’s play set, a trap shooting pit, and a shooting range.  Shooting range details: Trap Shooting Pit, Hand Gun 0-60 yards, Muzzleloader 0-60 yards, Shot Gun 0-60 yards, Rifle 0-60 yards, Bow 0-50 yards. Many members also enjoy camping (Four 30 amp RV Connections) on the club's property with their friends and families.

 

Each year the Dunkerton Sportsman's Club organizes and schedules public and private events to promote conservation, to advocate gun safety, to be involved in community service, and to sponsor education of young people in all aspects of sportsmanship and hunter safety.
